Başkan Atalay, Etiyopyalı akrobat Libanos Tegenu Gebre’yi ziyaret etti
Türkiye Etiyopya Dostluk Platformu Başkanı Oğuz Atalay (Mr.Ozi) , Antalya’da rahatsızlanan Etiyopyalı akrobat Libanos Tegenu Gebre’nin son sağlık durumunu öğrenmek için Antalya Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi’ne gitti.

Addis Ababa’daki Gamo Sirk Okulu Direktörü Sosina Wogayehu’nun Türkiye Etiyopya Dostluk Platformu Başkanı Oğuz Atalay(Mr.Ozi)’a Etiyopyalı akrobat Libanos Tegenu Gebre’nin sağlık durumu hakkında bilgi vermesi üzerine Başkan Oğuz Atalay (Mr.Ozi) ve yardımcısı Anu Winsome (Anley Assefa) Ankara’dan yola çıkıp Antalya’nın Muratpaşa ilçesindeki Antalya Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi’ne gitti.
Antalya Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Başhekimi Prof. Dr. Halil Yalçın YÜKSEL ve Ortopedi ve Tramvatoloji Baş Asistanı Op.Dr. Adil Turan’dan hasta hakkında detaylı bilgi alan Başkan Atalay, serviste tedavisi süren Libanos Tegenu Gebre’yi ziyaret etti. Gebre ve hastanede ona yardımcı olan arkadaşı Genet Molla Agimas ile bir süre sohbet eden Başkan Atalay ve Anu Winsome (Anley Assefa) , Gebre’nin tedavi süreci ile ilgili takipte olacaklarını, herhangi bir ihtiyaç durumda her zaman yardımcı olmaya hazır olduklarını iletti.
Libanos Tegenu Gebre ve hastanede yanında kalarak kendisine yardımcı olan Genet Molla Agimas, yaşananlar ve hastane süreci ile ilgili Türkiye Etiyopya Dostluk Platformu’na video röportaj verdi.
Etiyopyalı akrobatın tedavisinde çok büyük emeği olan ve tedavisi ile çok yakından ilgilenen Ortopedi ve Tramvatoloji Baş Asistanı Op.Dr. Adil Turan hastanın son sağlık durumu ile ilgili Türkiye Etiyopya Dostluk Platformu’na şunları söyledi :
“Libanos’un doktoruyum. Doktor Adil Turan benim adım. Antalya Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi Ortopedi ve Tramvatoloji bölümünde baş asistanım. Hastamız bize 16 Mayıs gibi kolunda ciddi bir damar tıkanıklığı ve şişlikle geldi. İlk geldiğinde kolu ileri derecede hareketsiz ve kolu çalışamayacak durumdaydı. Biz bunun için kompartman sendromu dediğimiz tanı ile acil olarak ameliyata alarak oradaki ilk acil müdahalesini gerçekleştirdik. Ancak ondan sonra beklenen iyileşme görülmediğinde altta yatan tanıyı desteklemek amacıyla seri tetkikleri gerçekleştirdik. Bunların içerisinde PET, Tomografiler ve biyopsiler vardı. En son yapılan tetkiklerinde ise koltuk altından yapılan lenf biyopsisinde rabdomiyosarkom (kan hücrelerinde oluşan bir kanser türü) denen nadir görülen bir tümör ile karşılaştık. Şuan için onkoloji servisinde kemoterapi tedavisini almakta biz de ortopedi uzmanı olarak konu ile ilgili tedavilerini devam ettirmekteyiz. Hastanemizde, hastamız ile ilgili her türlü tetkik ve tedavi yapılıyor. Sürecin nasıl ilerleyeceğini zaman gösterecek. Bununla ilgili takip ve tedavilerimiz devam etmektedir.”

President Atalay visited Ethiopian acrobat Libanos Tegenu Gebre.
President of Turkey Ethiopia Friendship Platform Oğuz Atalay (Mr.Ozi) went to Antalya Education and Research Hospital to know about the latest condition of Ethiopian acrobat Libanos Tegenu Gebre who was recently gotten ill, and to determine on-site whether there is any aid to make.
After Sosina Wogayehu, Director of Gamo Circus School in Addis Ababa, gave information to Atalay (Mr.Ozi), President of Turkey Ethiopia Friendship Platform, about the health status of Ethiopian acrobat Libanos Tegenu Gebre, President Atalay (Mr.Ozi) and his assistant Anu Winsome (Anley Assefa) departed from Ankara and went to Antalya Training and Research Hospital in Muratpaşa District of Antalya.
President Atalay (Mr.Ozi) , who received detailed information about the patient from Antalya Training and Research Hospital Chief Prof. Dr. Halil Yalçın YÜKSEL and Orthopedics and Tramvatology Chief Assistant Op.Dr. Adil Turan, visited Libanos Tegenu Gebre, who is still on treatment in the service. Chairman Atalay (Mr.Ozi) and Anu Winsome (Anley Assefa), who chatted with Gebre and his friend Genet Molla Agimas, who helped him in the hospital, stated that they would be following the treatment process of Gebre and they are always ready to help in case of any need.

Orthopedics and Traumatology Chief Assistant Op.Dr. Adil Turan, who has a great effort in the treatment of Ethiopian acrobat Libanos Tegenu Gebre and is very interested in his treatment, said to Turkey Ethiopia Friendship Platform about the patient's current health status:
“I am the doctor of Libanos. Doctor Adil Turan is my name. I am the chief assistant in the Orthopedics and Traumatology Department of Antalya Training and Research Hospital. Our patient came to us with a serious vascular occlusion and swelling on his arm on May 16th. When he first arrived, his arm was highly immobile and his arm was unable to work. For this reason, we performed the first emergency intervention there by taking him in the surgery with the diagnosis we call compartment syndrome. However, when the expected improvement was not observed after that, we performed serial investigations to support the underlying diagnosis. These included PET, Tomographies and biopsies. In the most recent examinations, we encountered a rare tumor called rhabdomyosarcoma (a type of cancer that occurs in blood cells) in the armpit lymph biopsy. For now, he is receiving chemotherapy treatment in the oncology service and we are continuing their treatments as an orthopedist. For our patient, all kinds of examinations and treatments are carried out in our hospital. Time will show how the process will progress. Our follow-up and treatments are ongoing related to this.”
